Asthma



Asthma, reversible obstruction of the airways that compromises the respiratory system. Asthma attacks are typically accompanied, by coughing and wheezing. Asthma is a chronic disorder that can be triggered by exposure to certain allergens or in response to physical or emotional stress. Therapy includes the use of steroids and bronchodilators.
