Asbury Park

Asbury Park (pop. 17,015), Atlantic Coast resort in eastern New Jersey, founded in 1871 as a religious meeting place and incorporated as a city in 1897. It is known primarily as a convention center and summer resort. It is also the birthplace of rock star Bruce Springsteen.
