Anna
Anna, in the New Testament (Luke 2), Jewish prophetess, daughter of Phanuel of the tribe of Asher. Widowed at an early age, she served God in the temple by continual prayer and fasting. At the age of 84 she witnessed the presentation of Jesus in the temple.
