Mario Andretti
Andretti, Mario (1940–), Italian-born U.S. race car driver. His many achievements include winning the United States Auto Club national driving championship (1965, 1966, 1969) and the Grand Prix world driving championship (1978). Andretti also finished first in the Daytona 500 (1967) and Indianapolis 500 (1969).
